Peter Sprenger


Peter is the CEO of SportsCloud International and a Digital Strategy and data management teacher at the Cruyff Institute and in the Nyenrode Sports Leadership program. Nyenrode is one of the leading business schools in Europe. In addition, he teaches digital innovation at the MBAs of the VvAA and IBO Business School. In 2015, he and others founded the Business of Sports Academy (BOSA). BOSA offers contemporary knowledge programs for professionals in the sport. In addition to his teaching roles, Peter is also chairman of the Nevobo (Dutch volleyball & beach volleyball association). Internationally, he is a member of the marketing committee of the CEV (European Union). Peter Sprenger is closely involved in digital developments in our society. In his work for Techonomy, he deals on a daily basis with companies that find their way in the digital world in new ways. Data and data management play a crucial role in this. He has been involved in sport all his life ranging from actively playing volleyball to sponsoring sport as a businessman. He studied at various Universities in Nijmegen and Rotterdam (Netherlands) and at the Harvard Business School in Boston.

Due to his involvement in sports, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of Sports Marketing agency Triple Double. He is also chairman of the subsidy committee for Sports, Nutrition & Innovation of the Province of Gelderland. In volleyball he works with fellow administrators and the governing body to strengthen the volleyball associations at the local level. He has been closely involved in community sports development for over 25 years and considering the digital needs of community and recreational sport organisations is also a fundamental part of his lectures. Peter is author of 3 books on digital transformation and strategy.
